Backstreet Boys met DNA World Tour naar Ziggo Dome

Zojuist heeft de Amerikaanse boyband Backstreet Boys hun wereldtournee aangekondigd. Op donderdag 23 mei staan ze met hun DNA World Tour in Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam. De kaartverkoop voor dit concert start vrijdag 16 november om 12 uur via Ticketmaster.

De concerten staan in het teken van het nieuwe gelijknamige album DNA dat 25 januari uitkomt. Vandaag verscheen hiervan de eerste single “Chances” die geschreven is door Ryan Tedder en Shawn Mendes. Het is het tiende studioalbum van het vijftal met liedjes geschreven door o.a. Lauv (Charli XCX), Andy Grammer, Stuart Crichton (DNCE) en Mike Sabbath (J Balvin).

De DNA World Tour is de grootste arena-tour van de groep in 18 jaar. In ongeveer 3 maanden treden de heren op in heel Europa en Noord-Amerika. Zo staan ze in gerenommeerde concertzalen als Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlijn, de O2 Arena in Londen, de AccorHotels Arena in Parijs en vervolgens gaan ze ook nog naar diverse steden in Noord-Amerika.

Van alle leden van de Backstreet Boys zijn hun individuele DNA-profielen geanalyseerd om te zien welk cruciaal element ieder afzonderlijk vertegenwoordigt in het DNA van de groep. “When this group started 26 years ago – and through all the highs and lows of our career – we’ve had to learn it wasn’t about us as individuals but about what’s best for the group,” zegt Howie D.

“That’s what I love about this album,” voegt Kevin Richardson toe. “We were able to bring all of our influences and styles into one coherent piece of work. These songs are great representation of who we are as individuals and who we are as a group. It’s our DNA. We’re really proud of that.”

“The journey is ongoing with us and there is so much left to do,” zegt Brian Littrell. “We’re living the next chapter that hasn’t been told yet, and that’s exciting.” After 14 months of setting and breaking records in Las Vegas, BSB’s residency “Backstreet Boys: Larger Than Life” will come to an end on April 27, 2019.

“Vegas has been amazing and these next set of dates are going to be a party,” zegt Brian. “Then it’s time for us to visit our fans all over the world.”
